MSFT Post COVID

As 2023 draws to a close, I'm excited to share some of our key trades throughout the year – the good, the bad and the ugly.

Starting with the good.

Original entry approx: $165

Current price approx: $362

Our longest hold has been Microsoft (MSFT). We first entered in early April 2020, just weeks after the market's COVID-19 low.

Our decision to invest was driven by a thorough analysis of the company's strong fundamentals rather than short-term technical indicators. At this same time we also planned to increase our investment whenever the price dipped and showed good opportunities for compounding.

Fast forward to May 2023, and we strategically decided to take partial profits from our MSFT position (and several other stocks). This decision was influenced primarily by technical factors, marking a shift in our approach from our initial entry.

In a subsequent move at the end of September 2023, we augmented our stake in MSFT, this time guided by a blend of both fundamental and technical analysis.

Reflecting on our first significant trade post-COVID low, MSFT continues to perform well in our portfolio. We remain vigilant and ready to adjust our position, potentially taking further profits when market conditions suggest it's prudent to do so.

This trade uses our dynamic approach, balancing patience with responsiveness to the market changing conditions.
