Market Report Jun 06 2023

Monday's closing bell witnessed a more restrained stock market following last Friday's extensive rally. Early trading was somewhat ambivalent, with the performance of mega-cap stocks creating a buffer for the overall market.
Moreover, the inability of the S&P 500 to exceed the 4,300 zone was a significant factor in the afternoon retreat.

Nevertheless, the principal U.S. indices wrapped up the day below intraday halfback. However, the market didn't exhibit any unified sell-off, and the overall main index downturns remained relatively limited.
The main European indices also closed in the red for the day.
VIX was up slightly on the day.
